My latest film is almost complete. “Glass” is my first final film that I made for an assignment at Chapman University. The assignment was called a 789. It was supposed to be shot in three parts, 7,8,9.
I shot mine in 2 days and after editing the film together realized I was missing some footage from the end scene. I also was not happy with the way it ended. I called the cast and crew back for a last minute shoot which in the end saved the film. Jason Baumgardner a fellow cinematographer was my AC/Gaffer on the shoot. He also was nice enough to let us use his car for the end scene. Thanks to him we were able to re-shoot the ending. Another big help was Andrew Kappel. He is the producer on the film and got us great actors.
Deborah Ouellette, Doug Friedman, Sophia Brister and her mother Deborah Brister were also nice enough to make a long trip back to the location to finish the shoot.

Bruce Meyers an editor at Chapman jumped on board to be the editor of the film. He also made the poster and trailer for the film.

This film idea came to me at the last second a few weeks before I started shooting. I had writers block on another idea I had about a guy suffering with OCD. For some great reason I dropped that idea and came up with “Glass” I had some help with the writing by Jean Barker. She also was the first AD the first night. The second night my first AD was Josh Krohn and the last night I had Ixel Madrigal.

I would not of been able to be the Director and DP without such great first AD’s.

I don’t know if I will ever DP and Direct another film at the same time but it was a great experience.
